September 2011

School is open again and we are enjoying warm sunny weather at present.  We hope you enjoyed the recent Uptown Art Stroll, or Happy Hour on the Hill, or Queen Anne Fun Run or Annual Sidewalk Sale over the summer.  All these events made our summer a very successful one in 2011.  Another good development is that the City of Seattle has featured Queen Anne in their "Only in Seattle" neighborhood marketing campaign.  Take a look at their website for more information:  .

Upcoming events for us include more After Hours for casual networking, interesting speakers at our monthly luncheons, plus Trick or Treating on upper Queen Anne Avenue and Holiday Magic on Friday, December 2nd.

Please remember to shop locally!  Queen Anne offers a terrific array of services and retail shops of all price points.

All the best,

Mary Chapman

Happy New Year

Posted on 1/6/2011 by Mary Chapman

Hello friends, neighbors and visitors to Queen Anne -

Welcome to our wonderful area in the heart of Seattle.  We are what makes city living great - a friendly, walkable neighborhood with access to world class arts, shops and restaurants.  The views from the top of Queen Anne hill are quite spectacular as well.  Whether you are here for business, leisure or living in the area, we want to be a resource for you.

In 2010, we had the pleasure of merging our organization with the Upper Queen Anne Merchants Association.  Remember, when you shop locally, you support families and individuals that turn around and spend their dollars in the same community.  Our local businesses support our neighborhood as well through donations to school auctions, they volunteer with the Queen Anne Helpline, and they pay to light the trees along Queen Anne Avenue North on top of the hill during the holidays.  They also give hundreds of dollars in candy to trick-or-treaters on Halloween each year.  What fun!

Wishing everyone a prosperous new year,

Mary Chapman
