In King County, hunger is real: 1 in 5 kids is at risk of hunger and 1 in 6 adults worries where their next meal will come from. But to solve hunger, we must first understand how it affects our community and what we can do about it.

Queen Anne Book Company To Open Late February!
Queen Anne residents are off to an exciting 2013 as their beloved independent bookstore will soon open its doors again as the Queen Anne Book Company. This small miracle is occurring on top of the hill when this new, locally owned bookstore opens in the location of the former Queen Anne Books.

It’s the late 1980s. A Lower Queen Anne resident is in the habit of scaling the fence to get to Myrtle Edwards Park, sometimes even climbing over slow-moving trains to get there. He hadn’t heard the Blue Scholars song posted on SeattleScape October 11th.
